Welcome to Never Doubt Nature!
We all live among some aspect of nature.
If you have made your way to this website, here are some things you should know:
· Never Doubt Nature is an Australian-based platform, but we also acknowledge and discuss worldwide nature.
· We don’t get preachy on here. We tolerate very limited discussions on Politics and other topics aimed to upset, stigmatise, cause controversy or blame individuals and/or groups.
· We respect all nature, living things, people, plants, and animals on this platform.
· We are based on science and research; Never Doubt Nature uses reliable and relevant materials for research.
· References will be added at the end of every post, as needed. Posts are not based (unless forewarned and applicable) on opinion.
· In the spirit of reconciliation, Never Doubt Nature acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Never Doubt Nature is produced and edited on the traditional lands of the Bunurong/Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation.
All of this said, let us jump into the amazing world of “never doubting” the many shapes and sizes of nature around you!
Our name – ‘Never Doubt Nature’ relates to all things, nature, including human psychology. By learning about nature, and the way we interact with it many of us state healing of mental health and feeling a sense of happiness. Nature is in our core, as well as our everyday experience. We even look to nature if we are stuck in our own headspace or feeling anxious.
We began as ape-like creatures and now, as advanced as we are,
we still tend to look to nature for fresh air and shaking off the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Fresh air, sunny days, rainy days, sunrises, and sunsets are a part of our everyday experiences of nature and yet, most of us can still stop and appreciate in awe. The galaxy of a night sky outside, crickets chirping, lightning storms, pollinating insects busying themselves in the afternoon and birds sounding their songs at dawn and dusk is becoming increasingly rarer to witness in some parts of the world, yet these cycles of nature still happen daily – don’t you doubt that!
Think of the colours we experience in nature, rainbows after a sun shower, yellow, purple, and blue wildflowers, red desert sand and green leaves, grasses, vines and forests. Colour has a science story we can all appreciate and discover.
Natural wonders such as ice, rocky and sandy caves, bioluminescence, stalagmites and stalactites, icebergs, cloud formations and tornadoes, volcanoes and tsunamis, even though only found in certain parts of the world – can evoke wonder in locals and spread across worldwide media.
Our landscapes are immense and diverse,
from farmlands to rainforests and giant mountains.
Let us not forget the elements making up these natural wonders and how both science and worldwide cultures alike, worship the laws of water, fire, air and earth.
Gases, liquids and solids. Medicine. Minerals and precious gems, fossils. Soil and fungus, bacteria, moss, stones. Mountains, cliffs, rocky formations, valleys.
Waterways, streams, lakes, rain, the ocean.
Fire, heat, volcanic eruptions, hydrothermal vents.
Atoms, outer space and how the Earth was made, are all parts of the many branches of sciences which look at natural phenomena… or, in other words - everyday life.
Here, we’ll discuss it all!
Never Doubt Nature is here to help break down this seemingly “out of this world” information. We live on a beautiful planet, and it is our right and inherent will to understand the living and non-living things around us and the differences between them.
Let us dive deep, yet still see the surface, feel safe, but be in awe and experience some nature!
Chemists follow the periodic table of elements.
Physicists have their laws of nature and Biologists have their living things – great and small!
Welcome to the site and welcome to an experience!
